To control data visibility, the eCOS ® ORU system allows you to set permissions and restrictions based on organization, role or user.

So there are two systems: permissive and restrictive.

The permissive system (default)

By default, the user has access to all data. To prevent a user from seeing a product, you must manually change their restrictions (on the organization, role, or user).

The restrictive system

In this case, the user has no access to anything? To allow a user to see a product, you must manually change their restrictions (on organization, role or user) to associate them with the product classifications.

Please note :

If a user is restricted in any way, everyone who reports to them at higher and lower hierarchical levels also has access. People who are at the same levels and at higher and lower hierarchical levels but are not reported to the latter will not have access (see diagram below).

In the example above, the user at level 3 has the permission. Therefore, all colleagues at lower and higher levels who report to him have this permission by default. However, these colleagues at the same level as well as those at lower and higher levels who are NOT reported to him are not affected.
