eCOS Data Backup

eCOS applications are hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud in France and customer data is stored in dedicated databases.

The backup policies are implemented using Microsoft Azure services: Azure SQL Built-in automated backups, Azure SQL Point in Time Restore, Azure Backup and Azure Recovery Vault.

All backup data is stored using Geo-Redundant Azure Storage in 2 Azure Regions, France Central and France South. Backups are immutable and the data is encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption.

Backup Policies

Customer databases long-term backup Full backups every week 3 months France Central, France South Long-term backups are not intended for recovery of service. Obtaining the backup is usually less than 10 minutes
Hosting virtual machines Full backups daily and weekly 7 days for daily backups, 4 weeks for weekly backups France Central, France South RPO of less than 24 hours, RTO of less than 2 hours and RTA of less than 30 minutes
