The EAN switch allows you to change the EAN of a product automatically, on a given date. The product sheet remains the same as well as the attached referencing data, only the current EAN field is modified.
Global EAN Switch
In the “Codification” block, when the current EAN is entered and a first save takes place, the “Future EAN” and “Future EAN Date” fields appear:

To perform an EAN switch, fill in the “Future EAN” field, and the date on which the switch should take place in the “Future EAN Date” field (by default, the switch date is D+1, and it is not possible to select an earlier date).
Current EAN vs Future EAN
If the future EAN entered is equal to the current EAN, an error message is displayed and saving will be impossible.
On the selected date, the future EAN automatically becomes the current EAN, and the current EAN becomes a past EAN. All EANs linked to a product are stored in the "Codification" > Past EANs block:

Switch EAN sign
After creating an EAN switch on the item record, it is possible to shift the EAN switch date by brand:

In the “Contextual information” block, choose the “Sign” context, a sign and a period. Click on the edit mode icon . In the coding block, it is possible to choose the EAN switch date on the selected sign:

It is then possible to consult the EAN switches on the different brands of the same product by clicking on the button in view or edit mode of global fields:
