Synchronization with Outlook

Synchronization with Outlook works in both directions:

  • eCOS ® to Outlook: a new calendar is automatically created in Outlook and is named eCOS -[Platform name]-[Identifier]
  • Outlook to eCOS ®: Events from your Outlook calendar can be displayed in the eCOS ® calendar

Enable Outlook synchronization

In the front office, go to your account settings, then in the “Synchro other calendars” tab, activate the “Synchronize” button. Then select which Outlook calendars should be synchronized with eCOS ®.

Prerequisites

The " eCOS Blue EAGLE " application must be authorized by your system administrator in your upstream Active Directory ( Microsoft guide ).

In summary, you need to call the following URL: https://login.microsoftonline.com/{organization}/adminconsent?client_id=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Replacing {organization} with your Active Directory domain.

View Outlook events in the eCOS ® calendar

In the calendar, use the button to show or hide Outlook events.

All Outlook events are displayed in gray and are of type “EXTERNAL”.
